Meet the Chef
At the heart of Rize Café is Chef Jamie George, a Columbus culinary veteran known for transforming seasonal, local ingredients into unforgettable meals. With over two decades of experience across some of the city's most beloved kitchens—including Basi Italia, Z Cucina, and [‘plas] food and drink—Jamie brings a bold, honest approach to food that celebrates Ohio's rich agricultural landscape.
His menus are rooted in scratch cooking, inspired by Italian farm-to-table traditions, and always built around what’s fresh, local, and exciting. Jamie’s passion for sustainable sourcing and deep relationships with Ohio farmers means that everything from the soup to the sauces is crafted with intention.
At Rize, Jamie leads a kitchen where creativity meets community—from daily breakfast and lunch offerings to the intimate, ever-changing Supper Club experience. Each dish is designed to nourish, surprise, and bring people together.
